Q: Does the Medicare fee schedule vary by geographical region?
A: Yes. For specific reimbursement fees visit http://www.cms.gov/apps/physician-fee-schedule/overview.aspx, accept the licensing agreement, then to begin a search:

Q: Can Welch Allyn call a payer for a reimbursement claim?
A: No. Welch Allyn does not provide this service. We recommend that you contact the payer directly to determine your benefits.
Q: Can Welch Allyn provide ICD-9 codes?
A: No. Welch Allyn cannot advise a provider/contact on diagnostic codes. We recommend that you contact their provider directly.
Q: Can Welch Allyn research private payers and their coverage restrictions for a contact?
A: Welch Allyn cannot conduct research on private payers, as it requires specific identification numbers which are only available to the providers.
Q: Can Welch Allyn research coverage for the State Medicaid plan for my contact's office?
A: Welch Allyn cannot research coverage for the State Medicaid plan for providers. We recommend contacting the payer to determine benefits.
Q: Is a provider paid the same by all payers?
A: No, the provider is paid for services based on his/her physician fee schedule. Each payer is different.
